Dell Laptop reset help please!?

My laptop kind of self destructed a while ago. Ive taken it to staples for help but i didnt really work. It will make it to the home page then frezze. Ive tried all things i can think of. Im so fed up with it i dont care if everything gets wiped out. I would like to try something first that wouldnt wipe it out but if i have to i dont care. i need a way to manual reset it. A button i can push, something! please help!!
