I got my Iphone wet, Help!?

Today I accidently dropped my iphone in water, it wasn't for anymore then a second. I saw it drop and picked it up right away. It has a belkin case on it, which doesn't offer much protection. When I picked it up the screen was still working and so was the touch screene. I thought it was a miracle. Little did I know the screene would start glitching. I was in class at this time, so I left and got rice to soak it in. I turned it on,,,,I didn't know you weren't supposed to. It turns on when I click the button on the top but the screene is a dark blue. Should I put it in rice for longer?
