Religious Views On 2012?

Hi, Ive just read lots of old predictions like Mother Shipton, I would like to know what Religious people think, lots of people have predicted this, even the Tibetan Monks say it's going to happen. Do you think she really was the daughter of a women and a demon like legend say and thats why these people predict these things, the Tibetan Monks say that Man shall destroy each other with Nuclear weapons and at the end of destruction people from the sky will help all of this, they say these people are watching over us (is it gods/angels/aliens). Yes i know it says in the bible that only god knows when the world is going to end but these people havn't predicted it to end but to best Destructed and then it stops and man knows the true meaning of things. I'm not entirely Religious although I do belive there is a God/Gods.
