You and him are so civilized and talking to each others. I have a feeling that he misses your friendship. The e-mails mean something even though he says he moves on. I advice you just take it easy and let him hang out. Time will tell what you both will decide for the new chapter. Do not rush and force yourself into the relationship. Think long and hard before you connect. Friendship is normal but, relationship need to reassure from both.
